I'd be interested in hearing what you've been mulling over... sounds like a good conversation. :) I think a good book that might better address some of the issues of Radical (or the economically poor) is When Helping Hurts. My professors at Covenant wrote that. It's actually a really good, easy, but deep read. They teach the principles through actual experience/stories... stories that aren't all about how they did it right, but just as often about how they messed up and realized it afterwards. Very humble book. There are questions (for free) on a website of the same name that small groups can use to study the book together.
so.... where r u goin? :) We just finished Radical and it is really making me rethink A LOT! Would love to sit and chat sometime. I believe if we would all just let go of all that we have here, God could do something HUGE in our community to impact the world.. don't you?!
This speaks to my heart and ways you don't even know. The conviction is there, but the actions have yet to follow... May God PUSH us both!
