* Chloe came back from swimming at the Y with her daddy. Well she disappeared. I found that her bedroom door was closed. I told Chad that was strange and that he should check on her. . .
Knock knock. Door opens. "Chloe what are you eating?" "Chicken? Where did you get chicken?" She points behind a picture frame on her dresser. WHAT??? Where? When? How? The last time Chloe had chicken fingers was 2 days ago from Sonic. OH MY GOODNESS!!! Salmonella Poisoning????
Well it has been a couple of days know and she seems to have no side effects.:) But it is stories like this, that we encounter every week. I should write them down more often so that I do not forget but I do not. Anyway, Mommies, check behind your picture frames.
- "Ian, it is time to take a nap" "I am full of sleep."
- "Mommy, Jesus washes people's feet because their feet have a little bit of sin." (What Ian got from today's sermon 2-10-07)
- My friend Kristy LOVES this story. I still get embarrassed thinking about it.
Ian, Chloe, and I had a
almost made a successful trip to WalMart. We were is the check out line. There was a lady in front of us checking out. These were the thought going through my head . . . wow that is really large, pants are WAY too tight, looks like something from Saturday Night Live . . . When Chloe brought me back to earth with her comment . . . "Mommy her buddy is Super Big!" I turned around and dropped down to my knees to get on Chloe's level and to avoid making eye contact with the lady. I began to explain to Chloe that was not nice words to say and that those words could hurt the ladie's feelings. How can I be correcting my daughter when these EXACT things were going through my head. I could not stand up till the lady left.
So did my daughter learn something from this experience or was God teaching me a lesson through my daughter?
