Ian turned DOUBLE DIGITS this year.
His imagination play has become minimal.
It is his "senior year" at Union Elementary.
Chloe is not his play buddy anymore.
Have I brought you to tears yet?
Believe it or not, I am doing ok.
Ian is such a great kid. He has gently taken me through these changes at a nice slow pace. Don't get me wrong. I panic every now and then because I do not know what to do with him sometimes.
Chad had a Half Ironman in Knoxville the weekend Ian turned 10. We really wanted to make this mile stone special for him. We invited his best friend Lawson to go with us. We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge in Pigeon Forge that has a great indoor water park.
(Ian got a I Touch from Gram and GP)
The diminish of Ian's imaginary play was really hard for me. I LOVED how Ian and Chloe could spend hours playing together. This summer I noticed, Ian was bored and did not know how to spend his time. I refused to let him spend his summer in front of the TV, Computer or I Touch. The solution, Cages Bend Swim Club. It was AWESOME! We spent 2-3 day a week there this summer. Chad was a member there when he little. (shows you how old it is). Ian and Chloe knew several kids from church there. The house may have gotten neglected, the summer to do list did not get accomplished, but we made memories, we had fun as a family, and enjoyed our summer.
We also enjoyed inviting friends to go with us.

i need new pictures and updates!! :) :) :)
