Not only did he change physically, but also his interest and tastes in things did too. He is definiatly a Daddy's boy. He loves to play with his dad and watch Star Wars and Dukes of Hazard. They went to the Duke Fest together and had a blast. For Ian's 5th Birthday, he want a Dukes of Hazard Party. Mommy had to get creative with that one. The most ironic thing was his Daddy had a Dukes of Hazard Party when he turned 5.
The big gift he got was his 4 Wheeler. Mommy faught this one but Daddy won much to Ian's pleasure. Ian has a blast playing in the creek near by and any other puddle he can find. He is also a great escort for hisMommy while she runs.
His best friend this year was a boy he met in his 4 year old preschool program. His name was Seth. They hit it off immediatly with their passion for Star Wars and other "heores".
Ian's other passions are fishing and tennis. Both of these take a ot a patients which Ian relly displays when he likes something and is interested enough. Tennis came really natural to him. He loved it so much that his GP(grandpa) got him a specialized rack for his size. The summer after kindergarten, his parents have promised hime lessons.
This year Ian joined a tumbling class and sang in the church Kindergarten Choir. He is great aboout learning his weekly memory verses and bossing his little sister around.
The biggest step Ian made this year and the biggest hurdle for his Mommy was that he started Kindergarten. We choose to send him to the year round school. It has been a perfect fit for our family. Ian just LOVES school and practically skips out the door each morning. It seems that when he ever seems to be trying along comes a 2 week break. His favorite thing to do over the breaks is go to Gram and GP's and go to the Space museum.
